Tier 1 Investment Bank: PaceMaker

The Bank’s Central Management function commissioned PaceMetrics to implement a real-time Business Activity Monitor for use throughout the bank, with an initial focus on urgently delivering Customer Service improvements. The longer term strategy was to have a real-time BAM (Business Activity Monitoring) capability available bank-wide to monitor any process in a standardised way.

Tier 1 Investment Bank - Price Verification Server (PVS)

PaceMetrics was approached in 2004 by a Tier 1 Investment Bank with global trading positions and a 24/7 mindset. The Bank wished to implement a solution to provide verified end-of day prices for the thousands of instruments which they trade across multiple Asset Classes and Price Zones daily.

The bank already had proprietary monitoring software in place in the FX and Money Markets areas.  The ideas behind PaceMaker and the proprietary monitoring are similar.
