In 2003, PaceMetrics was awarded a contract by a Tier 1 Investment Bank to develop a Proof of Concept for real-time Business Activity and Business Event Monitoring systems and processes throughout the bank. Following a successful Functional Pilot and a detailed demonstration of the resilience and scalability of the solution, further contracts were awarded which culminated in a global rollout of BEM and BAM solutions to the Client Services and Derivatives groups within the bank.

The challenges in these implementations related primarily to

• Message volumes and throughput
• Extensive integration of workflow-based Exception Handling for Customer Services
• Ambitious integration of multiple new in-house technologies and applications

In total, four separate projects were completed, which involved working closely with various technology and business groups within the bank. The PaceMetrics elements of these projects were completed on-time, on-budget and to the client’s complete satisfaction.
